Leaving the Desert

The last few weeks have been tough and at times pretty dark. My husbands health and daily battle with cancer just started to feel like too much! I have been missing friends, running and life as I once knew it. I feel like I have been wandering in the desert looking and searching for God or for answers. Well guess what there are no answers and God has been with me the whole time. I just let life circumstance get in my way.

The hurt foot and rest thing became OLD real quick. It has been exactly 60 days today since my last real run! This week I finally got a diagnosis of a neuroma in my heel as well as PF. I got a shot Wednesday and ran today and I am feeling hopeful.
Hope is HUGE. I have HOPE in God's promises. He is with me. He will never forsake me. I have HOPE that God will be glorified in my life everyday. I have HOPE that God will calm my fears. Even though I feel as if I have been in that darn desert for 40+ days (60 to be exact) I know that he has a plan and that he will sustain me.

So much to share and catch up on...thought I would share a few pics.

I have discovered Chobani. Look at this awesome goodie box...tast testing time!

February is birthday month for the girls in my house! I am ok with turning a year older. I like the idea of growing old with my husband!!

Sweet card from my friend...wishing me miles, clear scans, and chocolate. I LIKE. Friends are like mini hugs from God. I know I need them!

First year as my son's AAU Coach! With everything going on my hubby and I cherished these good times.

Ulman Cancer Fund!! Seems to be straight from God. Ulman has been a source of strength and inspiration. Be sure to let me know if you want to join my virtual teamand make your miles count!

Lack of running, made me cross over to the dark side. This is a whole post in itself. Big things to come!

As life is going by I have been trying to remember how to be a student. Lots of coffee shops and studying.

And finally today I RAN!!! Yes, running what this blog all began around. I am so thankful that is has turned into so much more. Thanks so much for your support and patience.

Staying Hopeful!!
