Tri..ing new things

So life has been GOOD! Just the other day Sweet J, told me that I am good at trying new things. This made me smile! I think I have been on a HOOD TO COAST High...thinking I can do anything! HA!

FIRST SPRINT TRI (PICS COMING SOON)
A few weeks ago a friend of mine offered to give me her bib for a small sprint tri. I didn't even hesitate! So what if I don't have a bike, so what if I don't have a suit, so what if I haven't really swam since I have had kids. So with about 6 days notice I rallied my friends and I had a BIKE and gear, Swim suit and rocking Swim cap! I rode the bike once and swam in a pool twice and then it was GO time!

500 YARDS: The swim went surprising well and I really enjoyed it.
12 min.
9 MILES: The bike ride was not my fav and I felt like it was never go to end.
46 min.
5K: Run felt great and I pushed through hills and heat.
24 minutes!

I spent way to much time on my SWIM to BIKE transition. (Over 4 minutes)
But it was FUN and new!!

SPIN CLASSThis was also NEW, but why not I am on a roll! Spinning is hard but I really liked how it worked my legs and my instructor was AWESOME!! Shout out to Collette!! She kept us up and moving and I was happy to not be SITTING the whole time. I will be definitely TRY this again!

Finally....

GRAD SCHOOL! Yes I am surving but it is tough and time consuming. I just submitted my second assignment! One day at a time right?

I am also just weeks away from meeting some of my favorite bloggy peeps and RUNNING the Girlfriends Half Marathon! Training has been sparodic but I plan on having a good time!

So what will you TRY that is NEW and different today?
