8 days

Life has been crazy and I feel so behind BUT I am not going to let that get me down or DISTRACTED. I am days away from running my second marathon. Training has been challenging to squeeze in these last few weeks. My hubby farms for WSU and has been MIA since field season has begun and May seems to be my busiest month for consulting as well.

BUT...

Even with challenges I am seeing growth and SPEED. Thanks Mel (COACH)!
Last week:

13.1 @ 8:29 pace 1:50:28 (it was a flat trail but I am counting it)

5K today: 23:06 7:25 pace

So with that...

I am feeling encouraged and excited with the POSSIBILITIES!
The POSSIBILITIES are big BUT I am trying to stay focused and HOPE for a good LONG RUN!

Things can go wrong so quickly so I am trying to be prepared and OK with that.

There is magic in thinking that it could...go PERFECTLY!

COACH
made me a pace band that I will test out this weekend. I have never wore one before or even thought about pace but after 16 weeks of training...why not??

I am hesitant to SHARE my goal pace...but I will.

Not sure how long I will be able to hold it but shooting for....

8:35 ish....sub 4!! OK I said it, it is out! I know I am crazy.
I know I am dreaming.
I know 26.2 is a LONG LONG RUN!
!

I may not reach this LOFTY goal BUT on the other hand I just MIGHT!!

No matter what I HOPE to P.R. Going to be a journey and running with
Blonde Pony, Quads and Lisa! Good luck ladies...going to be a memory maker!

P.S. Please say a prayer for no wind or rain. Thank you very much!

After the fun you had in Portland, how could you not want some wind and rain! I keep dry thoughts for you, and speedy ones too!

Believe it, lady! You can do it!

You can do this! Sometimes just believing in something with such emotion makes it become a reality! Be sure to embrace tapering and go in with fresh legs. I don't think training plans ever go "as planned"....I like to think they build mental character!

Yes it is a RULE you have to call your Coach first :) OK maybe second or third but I NEED a phone call. 8 days!!!

You totally have this! My first marathon was a 4:15 in December, and then I just did the SLC Marathon two weeks ago in 3:57:18 official time (with four minutes lost to porta potties). With the paces you have been running you are totally on target for a sub-4 marathon. Just stay positive and have lots of fun. :)
