Energy Bits Giveaway!

Finally a post that will be about running! Yippee! I have been wanting to share this product with you as well as a giveaway for awhile now, so thank you for your patience!  Energy Bits contacted me to see if I wanted to try their product I was a little hesitant at first. So I wanted to learn more. This is what they Energy Bits has to say on their web site....
"Made from 100% organicallly grown spirulina algae and loaded with 40 nutrients, ENERGYbits® algae tabs have the highest concentration of protein in the world (64%) all for just one calorie per tab. Endorsed by the United Nations as the most nutritious food on earth, spirulina algae has been a favorite of Olympic gold medalists for decades and is a super food in every sense of the word, delivering instant and enduring energy to your brain and body."

Best used for:
  • Increasing Energy
  • Increasing Endurance

  • Increasing Mental Vitality

  • High Protein Snack

  • Curbing Hunger

  • Meal Replacement

  • Balancing Blood Sugar

  • Lowering Blood Pressure

  • Reducing Fatigue
How to take them:
For best results, take at least 30 ENERGYbits® (or more) before any workout, run, game or intense physical or mental activity. They will improve your energy and endurance. Also take whenever you are tired, hungry or don't have time to eat or cook. They are a terrific high protein, low calorie snack or meal on the go. A favorite of Olymic athletes.Swallow with beverage or chew them as you would a handful of nuts. Remember, they're "bits" of food (not pills).

I was able to test them on two long runs of 10 miles. Let's do this.

I would not recommend chewing them but I know some people do. They are dark green and kind of have a smell to them but not too bad. Definitely can tell they are a plant of sorts. The first time I used them I probably only used 20 tablets. I am HORRIBLE at taking pills. I was taking 2 or 3 at a time. Don't do that. It takes way to long and you drink way too much water which ends in potty stops. The folks at Energy Bits gave me the advice of trying 10-15 at a time which worked much better the next time.

My second run went better and I felt an physical energy boost but probably more than that I felt mentally sharper and aware of my surrroundings. Have you ever gone running and then can't remember or notice anthing that you just passed? Well this run I felt aware, sharp and awake and not starving by the end of it. This can be challenging on a early morning run right?

I ran out of my prized sample long ago and have yet to get more. I am hoping that one day soon the fog will lift and I will be running more and TRAINING! Oh how I miss that word.

So why not give them a shot. Kind of fun to try something new. Energy Bits is going to give a sample like this to one lucky reader!!  A winner will randomly be selected 11/11. Here is how to win.

1. If you aren't already, become a follower of my blog.

I think I would try them before my gym work outs and before longer runs. I am super excited about the idea of something organic!

I'm a blog follower & twitter follower : )

These look really interesting, I haven't seen them before. Since I'm able to run again, I would use them to fuel my training for a 1/2 marathon in early March!

I'm a follower...and I think I would try them on any run at this point since I am just starting back slowly. I think I would prefer them either morning or early midday as well.

Twitter follower and blog follower. I'd use them once I have clearance before workouts after having our little guy in 2013.

Hope there's some bright things in your life right now through this tough time!
