Runners Rally

Life with the C word sucks. We have encountered even more obstacles with my husbands health but we are determined to keep our chin up! The prayers and well wishes mean so much. There are days when I have a hard time breathing let alone finding the time or motivation to run. I have been blessed with a group of gals that keep me running. A time where I can process, laugh, cry, pray and feel strong. Amanda at Runninghood is an amazing athlete, mother and woman. She shared a post on how to start an Inspirational Running journal (awhile ago) I knew I wanted to do this! I really NEED some positive thoughts in my life. So a few runners gathered and we began to cut, paste and chat the evening away.
Here is a peek of a work in progress.

The cover!! If you have a blog sticker and want to swap just let me know!

Love the inside...and trying not to be scared of the M word.

Taking over the table and loving every minute of it. (Left to right, Quads, Stacey, Courtney and of course Blonde Ponytail) This was so much fun and got all of us thinking about our goals. Create your own journal today!!

Today I ran 10 miles with running buddies for XLMIC "Jingle Bell Hell run". There were hills and wind and some sore feet. Hope that qualifies! Oh yes, my buddy QUADS also sported jingle bells on her laces.

Just need my feet to hang in there for 47.5 more miles for the year. I have been having horrible pain in my heels. Here is a pic of my tape job which also highlights that my toes look like sausages and I need a pedicure.

So don't wait any longer. Run that first mile, call a friend, sign up for that race, start a journal and KEEP ON KEEPING ON!

your feet look like mine with all the tape - tape is such a lovely accessory, isn't it? Love the runner's journal and that you and your friends go together to make them. Thoughts and prayers for you - happy holidays!

So awesome to have running buddies and to be able to run!! We take too many things for granted in life, which I'm sure comes all the more to the front of your mind as you and your husband deal with this messed up disease. How wonderful to be able to get up and simply run with friends. God is Good!! Glad you had such a great time with such lovely ladies :)

I didn't realize we lived so close! Next time I'm up in Spokane visiting my sister, I'm calling you ladies up for a run!
Looks like a fun night. You are inspiration and your feet are LOVELY! :)

Love the journal idea! And I'm jealous of all the running buddies gathering together... looks like a blast! So sorry to hear of the rough moments you're going through... thanks for the honesty, I think continuing to be open can help the process. Praying for your family.

This is such a great idea and looks like so much fun. Wish I lived closer and could help you out, and hang out. :) Big hugs!
Hope the feet hang in there.

Love this! Wish I would have been there to be a part of this party. You've inspired me to finally create this womens' running group here in Portland. I need to make that a priority for 2012. Love you Harmony! Thanks for sharing this on my wall...I'm rarely on blogs much so I miss out on so much and glad I didn't miss this. Hope your feet hang in there. Thanks for being a light.

Tape is so 'in' nowadays :P

So awesome you got together with some good people! That is inspirational all on its own sometimes.

I cannot believe you all allowed her to wear those bells! I would have been homicidal by the end! Thanks so much for participating in Jingle Bell Hell!

I love the idea of a journal! And how fun to do it with running buddies!

I hope your feet are feeling better soon and get you through those last miles this year (and many, many more in the years to come).

I'm going to go give my husband a hug now and get over what was annoying me earlier today. Life is too short.
