Tag Response

So today I spent the day buried in under covers! Yes a MIGRAINE found me this morning and I couldn't seem to shake it! Not only is it painful but it is an helpless feeling not being to function. My poor sweet (yet amazing) J! She was great...and played beside me in the bed...in the hall...in her room, watched a movie, until finally she told me she didn't know what else to do. I began giving her muffled suggestions from under the covers and she confidently told me "Never mind Mom, I'll figure something out" and she shut my door and off she went. She makes me smile!! Thankfully my hubby helped me with big kid and grocery pick up. At 5:30 I was finally able to get up without my eyeballs throbbing! Heating pad and warm cloths and Excedrine did the trick. Just in the nick of time because I had a presentation I had to do at 7:00.

Oh I am so glad it's over and I am feeling human again. But now I am wide awake so thought I would do a little blog catch up! Blonde Ponytail tagged me "last year" with a fun few questions so I thought I would finally get around to answering those questions.

1. What is you greatest accomplishment of 2010?
It's a toss up. Training for the Portland Marathon was TOUGH and SCARY...but I am so happy that I stuck with it and had a great time! Talk about MENTAL toughness...yes I had to go there many times!

I am also proud of my Seattle Rock N Roll Half Marathon. I was HURT and unable to run the month before but I was committed to the run and wanted to give it a shot. I was solo out there for 13.1. I ran, limped, cried, and walked my way through and finished.

(Nice Banana Shot eh?)

2. Running goals (Here are the ones I am willing to say out loud)
Sub 2 hour half
Sub 4 hour marathon

3. What is your guilty pleasure?
OK at the risk of horrifying many of you I will just say it. I like McDonalds. I like wraps, fries and cheesburger's and mainly my Diet Coke with ice and a mandatory STRAW.
We don't judge in bloggy world right??

I do NOT have a sweet tooth....just a salty one! Sorry!

4. Favorite Race
Portland Marathon MINUS the down pour!

5. Most Embarrassing Running Moment
This past June when I was trying to run the Seattle Half hurt and was taking a brief walk break...and texting my hubby that I was OK. (He was worried about my knee) At that very moment (my weakest) a good friends hubby passed me and patted me on the back and said "let's go H Love"! I yelled I have been running...this is my first walk break I promise....my knee is killing me! I promise!

If you are reading this and want to be TAGGED...consider yourself TAGGED!! Let me know I would love to come read you responses!

P.S. Tomorrow is a BIG DAY for me....check back soon to find out why!

Love the post!
So sorry about your migraine. If you get them often enough, it might be worth going to a doctor and getting a prescription. With mine, I can take one and my migraine is gone within an hour or two.

So proud of your 2010 accomplishments, and looking forward to 2011!

Glad the migraine subsided - they suck! I'll admit to enjoying McDonald's every once in awhile as well..it's OK. :-)

So sorry to hear about the migraine! I have been getting bad headaches from my new medication and thinking I might have to go and get things changed up.

Lots of great accomplishments for you in 2010! Hope to meet up in May in Eugene! :) Trying to organize a bloggy meet up for either before or after the race...
