An Emz inspired RUN!

So there are only 48 days left in the year. Only 48 days for me to get in 155 miles. PANIC!!! So today I knew I needed to run my first LONG RUN since Portland 10.10.10.
Earlier in the week I had not been feeling so hot with a stuffy nose, head and body aches and sore throat! So the thought of running in the cold did not sound like fun. NOTE TO SELF: Running needs to be fun!!

Earlier in the week EMZ at If I can't confuse you, I'll at least confuse you ran 21 miles on her treadmill. WHAT??? She does most of her running on a treadmill so I felt inspired. I mean all you have to do is look at her ABS and you want to start drinking the same kool aid she drinks! Even though I am doubtful my abs will ever look like hers it was worth a shot!

So today I ran 10 miles on my ancient, loud, treadmill from college. The times are all off (actually the screen is just blank)but I know my body and I know how long it takes me to get it done. It was actually nice just following my body and not looking at numbers. I was drenched when I finished and TIRED!! So thank you EMZ for getting me 10 miles closer to 1,000!!! It really wasn't too bad...and I may just do it again.

P.S. My abs seemed to have stayed the same...no amazing change or sculpting took place. BOO HOO!! Maybe next time!

You mean I should be drinking Kool-aid!

Great job getting that 10 miles in. I'm going to have a battle against time tomorrow morning to get in my long run. The best part of finishing is satisfaction from making the time for it - even if it means running on an old treadmill.

Good job!!! We've had colds in our house too, but it hasn't stopped me from getting on my bike!

Let me know if that works, because I drink the treadmill kool-aid and I know I have EMZ's ab's... they are just covered with a layer or two of fat... ;-)

And we are almost the exact same place with our miles... I have 158 left for 1000 this year... fortunately, I still have a 20 mile race (tomorrow) and a marathon (Dec. 5)... so should be able to make it.
