Embrace the Pigeon

Hi My name is Harmony and I have weak hips! OK it is out and I feel better! I am happy to know I am not the only one. Marcia at Running off at the Mouth recently shared the Pigeon pose and is giving away resistance bands so go check it out. She is also giving away my fav compression socks! So many great giveaways! I have embraced the pigeon twice in the last two days. It HURTS which means I need it! So I am happy to welcome the pigeon to my running bag.

Today I slept in and missed my "cold" window to get out and run. Had to do 7 miles on the treadmill! Glad that is over...not sure when or how I will squeeze in 10 tomorrow?? Thankful more my sweet J...playing solo and checking on me and being my water girl!

I think hip weakness is probably a runner's hallmark from the sounds of it. Hope the pigeon works for you!

I also saw her post and am thinking I need one of those foam rollers. The hips and sciatic pain have me sidelined a bit right now. Guess I will keep pigeoning (?) it up and hope for those bands too!

I'm weak in the hips too. I do these one legged stands where I bend at the hips and reach for something in front of me while bending my knee and then come back up. I also do pigeon, but I didn't know it was called that lol.

I'm working on tomorrow's 10 miles too; not sure how to tackle it with the heat.
