Cross your fingers....

OK enjoyed another run while we were in McCall, ID., but again had some pain behind the knee. Went to P.T. today and he isn't too concerned. I guess he expects some aches and pains since it has been awhile. So I am heading to Seattle this weekend to "listen to my body" and have fun??? This sounds like a big challenge. I know I will have to do my best to not track people or try to stay with people. I will need to be on my "new knee time". My P.T. said he is not ready to give me the green light for marathon training but thinks it will be coming soon. So more of wait, wait, wait! Let me know if you will be in Seattle and maybe I can cheer for you as you run by me!

I get to go on a short run tomorrow with my long lost running buddy! Yippee!!

Hey you! Great news! Excited that you're ON for the weekend.

Tell me, though, since I'm not a runner. How is running a half different from training for a whole? How do you run this weekend but not be training for the big kahuna at the same time???

I won't be running it. Just jogging off and on and lots of walking.

You are taking a good attitude into it and hopefully you will be turning the corner soon. Have a fun time!

My friend is walk/jogging it too! You're not alone! She thinks she'll be run over by old people with ski poles. LOL But I keep trying to tell her that not everybody is miss speedy. Some people walk the whole thing.

As much as it pains me to admit it, those PT folks really do know what they're talking about. Despite my impatience, my therapist got me back going from IT Band issues, and everything he had me do seemed to get the exact result he said it would.
Hope you continue to see improvement and are fully back soon.
