Running on...empty

To say I have been busy in an understatement. Taking two grad classes in six weeks is pretty darn intense. I am trying to keep my head up and know that every day I have a choice...Lose It & Freak Out OR Just Breathe and give it my Best. There have been days that after working all morning, running kids around and trying to read 100 pages and write multiple papers in one day that I definitely want to freak out. But God is good and He continually places people in my life that encourage me and keep my eyes focused on Him. My friend Jess AKA Blonde Ponytail set up and amazing event and gesture where my hubby was able to throw out the first pitch at a Washington State University baseball game. The game promoted Ulman Cancer Fund and cancer awareness. Go team fight! My friend Kristie/fellow blogger sent me the sweetest gift this week. A devotional book and plaque with just what I need to hear everyday!! I am blessed! Even when I feel like I am almost out of gas and not sure if I will find the time, energy or will power...God always steps in. This morning I was up and out the door with the birds. God met me there and I just ran. I was thrilled to see I was hanging in the low 8's. It felt good and encouraging. Good reminder to me that running is not always about training, or P.R.'s but instead the relationships that lift me up, make me laugh and challenge me daily! How do you find balance and keep your tank filled?

You are awesome. And there is no 'running on empty' when you are so filled with love.

Wow, I didn't know you were taking 2 classes, that's A LOT especially with kiddos and working and not to mention running! Great run and pace :) its so neat that Jess set that up for your hubby! I'm so glad you enjoyed the gift and it makes me smile knowing we are sisters in Christ :)
