YURBUDS Give Away!

So the big buzz in headphones is YURBUDS! Have you seen these things? If you have been on a long run, you know the ones when sweat is dripping everywhere and somehow even your ears are sweating and then it happens..ONE of the two earphones just won't stay in. UGH!!! The folks as YURBUDS sent me my own custom made earbud enhancers. For real! You just take a picture of your ear with your current head phone in it and then magically...they let you know what size would be the best fit for YOU! I don't know about you but I love anything custom! So I have tried out the YURBUDS several times and they are great. It did take me a bit to get use to them, just because it really was a good snug fit! After a run or two I am sold and love them.

I didn't have much time to test them before the Portland Marathon but I so wish I would have ran with them anyway! I think they would have come in handy in the pouring wet rain. I am hoping to use them to help me reach my GOAL (which seems really big) to get to 1,000 miles by the end of the year! I have fallen off the wagon. My sore hip and my knee have kept me resting along with NO MOTIVATION! So tomorrow I hope to get going again and log some miles!! I think I can, I think I can!

So it get's even better, you have a chance to win your own custom pair!! Become a follower of my blog, if you are already let me know. Go to YURBUDS and check out their web site and tell me what you think. Share a tip/motivation to find a way to get my miles in!

Winner will be announced the morning of Nov. 4th!!

I think the site is easy to navigate. The thing that impressed me the most was the video of the chic trying to shake them out... if they can withstand that... they can withstand anything.

As a mother of 2... I HAVE TO PLAN EVERY run. and sometimes it means getting up at 4am before my husband leaves to run. Sometimes it means postponing a run because a little one is sick. I have even hired a sister for an hour just to get a run in. The ONLY way to train for marathon is t dedicate yourself to your runs... or as my husband calls it - OBSESS. I also found interesting ways to get my runs in - needed to volunteer at school - I ran instead of drove, apologized for being a little sweaty (did wipe down in the bathroom first) and then I ran home.

And of course I follow.

I struggle to get my miles in all the time with 3 kids...my biggest tip is waking up first thing in the morning before the rest of the world is awake.

I love that they were designed by a marathoner! It's so cool! I also think they are really reasonable in price for all of the benefits they offer. If I DON'T win, I will be asking for some for Christmas!! :)

I follow you on Bloglines and would really love a pair of these! My tip for getting your miles in... not really sure as I am a busy mom of 6 and still working on that myself! Would love to win these.

I think the videos are a great way to show the product. Nice idea.

I am the wrong person to ask about motivation. It's more like I have to trick myself. Sometimes, I'll make a new playlist so I have it to look forward to or, if I'll be on the treadmill, download a movie or TV show to my Zune. I like listening to musicals for longer runs -- it's like music and a story in one. And I like to think about my skinny jeans. That helps sometimes, too.

I'll have a hard time motivating you as i am injured as well, but with the holidays coming up, the best thing to do is burn off some calories cause you know you are going to be eating some extras!

Cool Beans! These look like they'd work great. I feel like my ears are a strange shape and have a hard time keeping any earbuds in at all. These YURBUDS would probably work great though.

Oh yeah, and I'm a follower.
I'm not sure about motivation. I struggle with that too. I guess I just think about how I feel when I've accomplished something and use that to motivate myself.

I love how right off they ask if your earphones fall out, mine ALWAYS do!!

I follow! : )

For running motivation, I try to break it down by the week and see what I can fit in. A new song for my running playlist helps too!

I am impressed how they are able to do personal sizing to keep them in your ears!

I like the pink yurbuds! I really need a pair of headphones that don't inflict pain or slip when I get sweaty. So far, I've had no luck but maybe yurbuds are the trick!

I'm also nursing an injured knee (stupid runner's knee) and I've found the biggest motivation is finding a running / training partner. Its a lot easier to get up and get running when someone else is depending on you to run with them. I've woken up many days and been tempted to roll over and go back to bed but having someone else counting on me to be up and running is all the push I need to keep going, even with the aches and pains.

Great website...very easy to navigate!! I've read some great things about these. I love the blue ones especially with them being able to "personally fit" them. I have never been able to wear the normal earbuds and I have very small opening in my ears...very frustrating when trying to run with them!!

As for motivation, all I can say is each month I have a plan of attack and make sure I stick with it. Some days I really don't want to get out there, but after about the 1st mile I'm so glad I did. I feel good knowing that when I get back home (usually between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m.) that I've done something good for myself!!

I like how they are able to customize the buds to fit your ears. The website is so easy to navigate and videos are a definite bonus.

I have to have a plan for my miles, and when I don't run, I start to feel bit cranky... like now, as I recover my stress fracture.

My tip: get it done first thing so that you can't spend your day making "too busy" excuses... besides it makes you feel great the rest of the day.

Everything falls out of my admittedly tiny ears... everything... really interested in their patented "ear-lock" technology. Hmmmmm...

I love the concept of Yurbuds and have heard a lot of great things about them! :0)

I get up in the mornings and run before work a lot of the time! It's hard to wake up that early but if I don't, I know I won't get my run in for the day and that just won't do! :0)

I am finally a follower!! These would be great for Street Striding!

I love that they are sweat resistant. The fact that they stay in is a huge bonus. I'd love to try them.

Tips ~ Get up early to get your workout/miles in. It's easy to keep pushing it off as they day goes on. Find and utilize a running buddy. Also have some great tunes to help pass the time.

I'm a follower! I have been intrigued with these things for a while, but haven't tried them yet.
My tip for getting some extra mileage is to make an extra turn in an out-and-back route so you HAVE to run the extra distance to get back.
