OK so tomorrow I am scheduled to run 20 miles....solo. I am not sure why but I am a bit freaked out and trying to find the motivation and strength to do this. So I am sending out the bat signal to all of you veteran marathoners as well as those who are in the trenches with me now!
How do you do it?
Where do you find the time?
How do you get through mental battles?
What is the longest amount of miles you run when training?
My plan has me doing 22 as my max....thoughts???
Are my shoes going to hold up? I have been running in the same ones since I started training.
Too late to get new shoes to alternate on my long runs?
Fuel? Recovery?
Ugh, there is so much to learn!
I am mentally ready for the marathon to be HERE (I think) but I still have 6 weeks to train. Getting through the training is going to be tough but I am committed and still excited to tackle 26.2! I'll be back tomorrow with my 20 mile report!!
RUN HAPPY!

Good luck! You'll do great. I have a solo 20 scheduled for next week, so I totally feel you!
I did almost 22 last weekend, and I think it was a perfect distance. It gave me just enough confidence to know I could do 4 more. I am so ready for it to be here too.
You'll do great, just dig in and do it. Good luck!!!
Reaching 20 is such a marker. Just take your time with it - especially since it is your first. Then, you can use that as your baseline to build on.
You can do it!!
Hope it went well!! I joined a group thsi past marathon training season so I was blessed with partners EVERY week.. Made all the difference.
Hope your 20 miles went well! I would be freaked to do those by myself, too! (Which actually I think I will have to come December...ugh.) Can't wait to hear how it went!
