Am I Sweating Yet?
So excited to see some new faces in my support crew. If you are new to my blog, WELCOME! I have been dealing with an unexpected set back from running so today was my first day I could walk. I walked on the treadmill for 31 minutes and went a whopping 2 miles. It was almost painful...it felt like I was getting nowhere, but I was thankful to be moving! I really just wanted to sweat. How am going to do this? I may try the eliptical in a few days but wanted to ease into walking first. I did some arm and ab work but didn't break much of a sweat at all! If you look close you will see I am wearing a sweet head band that the folks from Sweaty Bands sent me. It stayed on well but unfortunately I was unable to see how it would do with sweat rolling down face. I MISS and HEART sweat rolling down my face! My running buddy has one also and will be doing a review for me soon! Hint, Hint....could lead to a another give away soon. Anyways just wanted to let you know I am moving again and can't wait to get to the P.T. on the 7th!! Also I did decide to count miles I walk for my journey to 1000 miles in 2010. I couldn't stand looking at that sad little turtle not moving on my ticker. Praying that in July I will be racking up some serious miles as I pursure my marathon dreams! Have a great long weekend!!

I'm so glad you were able to get a workout in. Every mile counts :) I'm always here if you need me. Nice headband. I'll be hoping and praying you'll be racking up the miles in no time.
You look beautiful in your Sweaty Band! Have a fun long weekend!
Enjoy your weekend, I LOVE the feeling of messy sweat!
I seriously know just how you feel.
(and I too decided to let all my walking miles count :)
Great job getting in a workout! I have found that the bike makes me sweat quite a bit, surprisingly! And 3 miles on a bike is equal to 1 mile running.
The Danskin Tri is an all womens sprint triathalon! check it out here
http://www.danskintriathlon.net/seattle.html
It is a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike and 3.1 mile run!! It will be my third tri and I am pretty excited about it!!! I havent done an all womens one yet. Normally I get a kick out of the dude who do the whole thing (swim, bike, run) in a tiny speedo...we will see what keeps me entertaining with this one! Any questions just ask! I'm not a pro or anything but I am getting my tri routine down for now! I think tri's are a great way to get an all over fitness, just add a bit of swimming and biking to the running mix! I don't get serious about tri's, i just do it to add a little spice to my love,er....running life! =)
